Anthony Carlucci, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono, said the capital improvements under Project Starlight “represent some of the most exciting improvements we’ve ever announced” at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

“These offerings will not only enhance our live entertainment, but they will also provide a relaxing and fun outdoor experience and an incredible Topgolf Swing Suite venue,” said Carlucci.

Bar Louie will close on April 14. Carlucci said Mohegan Sun Pocono “has had a great relationship with Bar Louie for many years, however, we will continue and develop the new Hive Taphouse concept.”

Many of the Bar Louie team will stay on and transition to The Hive Taphouse, which will also house Topgolf Swing Suites, Carlucci said.

According to its website, Topgolf Swing Suites has other Pennsylvania locations at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, The Sweet Spot in Allentown, and Clearview Lanes in Mount Joy.

A $10 million renovation at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Hotel, which opened in 2014, is also underway.

Carlucci said the 238 hotel rooms will also have an “all new look and feel” by the end of the year. All rooms will be refurbished with new, fresher contemporary designs, new bathrooms and upgraded amenities, he said.

“We’ve already modeled a few pieces so far and the difference is remarkable,” said Carlucci. “We’re confident our customers will really love it.”
