Red Fort Caerleon finalist at the Welsh Asian Food Awards 2022

A POPULAR Indian restaurant is among the finalists for the Welsh Asian Food Awards.

Red Fort Caerleon, which opened in April 2019, is a finalist in two categories of the Welsh Asian Food Awards 2022.

The two categories for which Red Fort Caerleon, Cross Street, has been shortlisted are:

  • Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year;
  • Curry Restaurant of the Year.

Faisel Rahman, owner of the restaurant, said:

“Business has been good because we maintain our high standards, high level service and high quality food.

“Caerleon is a charming place and is becoming a foodie destination.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for us; we look forward to serving you in the future.

“Thank you to all of our staff for their continued service and hard work.”

He added that the Red Fort Caerleon team are always looking to “improve and innovate” and can accommodate dietary restrictions.

South Wales Argus:

“It’s an honor to be a finalist among other great restaurants,” added Mr. Rahman.

“Difficult times are coming financially, but we will always try to accommodate the guests.

“We will never compromise on service and standards.”

The venue is no stranger to awards – it won ‘Best Asian Restaurant in South Wales’ at the 2020 Asian Restaurant Awards and made the Best of Welsh Business Awards final earlier this year.

It opened offering options to dine in or pick up but – amid the Covid pandemic – added delivery options to help cope during lockdowns.

South Wales Argus:

Red Fort Caerleon is open from 5.30pm to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm to 10pm on Sunday.

The winners of the Welsh Asian Food Awards 2022 will be announced on Monday August 15.
