Mississauga bar advised to close as patrons told to get tested for COVID-19 – Toronto
Peel Public Health is advising anyone who has frequented a Mississauga bar in the past two weekends to get tested for COVID-19.
Health officials issued a press release on Tuesday and said anyone who visited the & Company Resto Bar, located in Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road West, from August 6 to 8 and from August 13 to August 15 is expected to “request an immediate COVID-19 test due to possible exposure to COVID-19.” “
Officials said this applied to all customers and staff, whether or not they were fully vaccinated.
If someone develops symptoms of COVID-19, they should self-isolate, officials said.
Peel Public Health said the bar has been asked to remain closed “until further notice”.
Details regarding possible COVID-19 cases possibly linked to the facility were not available Tuesday evening.
