Huset Circuit Cheat Day



BRANDON, SD (HUSETS) – Justin Zeitner, Zach Olivier, Eric Faber and Dustin Gulbrandson picked up victories on Friday night on C&B Operations Cheat Day at Huset’s Speedway.

For Zeitner, Faber and Gulbrandson, it was their first triumph on the track this season while Olivier earned his fourth victory of the year at Huset’s Speedway – only a tie for any driver in 2021.

Zeitner was solid throughout the 30-lap Tri-State Late Models main event on the second and final visit of the season to Huset’s Speedway. Zeitner survived a few warnings, but was fluid on restarts en route to a 1.934 second win.

Chad Olsen finished second with Gary Brown Jr., 11th starter, completing the podium. JC Wyman was fourth and Jordan Heiman fifth.

Blair Nothdurft, Zeitner, Nick Beyenhof and Olsen were the winners of the qualifying race.

Olivier went from fourth place to his fourth win of the season in Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks. Tim Dann was second, Colby Klaassen third, Matt Steuerwald fourth and Jayke Glanzer fifth.

Klaassen and Brandon Ferguson each won a qualifying race.

Faber took advantage of the start on the post to mark the victory of the hobby stocks. Jared Nytroe moved from seventh to second with Adam Chernotik finishing third, Jackson Mulder fourth and Clint Erickson fifth.

Nytroe and Faber won qualifying race victories.

Gulbrandson was the winner of the deepest start feature as he moved up from 17th place to Victory Lane in the 15-round sports mods main event. Cadyn Wessels was second with Jason Bradley third, Nick Brady fourth and Landon Krohn fifth.

Krohn, Logan Fitzpatrick and Brady won qualifying races.

The Championship weekend continues on Saturday with the return of the sprint cars to Huset’s Speedway program. The Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association and Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars presented by Big Frig, Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks and the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series are in action.

Tickets cost $ 25 for adults and $ 10 for students ages 13-18. Children 12 and under enter free.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with race at 7 p.m.
