Denied parathas, two men shoot the owner of a food delivery service in Greater Noida
The owner of an online food delivery service in Greater Noida was reportedly shot dead by two men for refusing to serve them food on Saturday. The defendants were arrested from Alpha 2 hours later.
Police said the victim was identified as Kapil (27), a resident of Hapur, who ran an online kitchen called SR Foods. Police said the defendants were angry that they were refused parathas after the restaurant closed.
âWe have received reports that a man was shot dead at Omaxe Arcade near Pari Chowk. It was discovered during the investigation that the victim ran a restaurant and refused food to customers after 1 a.m. He was shot and died after reaching the nearest hospital. The accused will be placed in judicial detention, âsaid Amit Kumar, DCP Greater Noida.
According to officials, after 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, the accused Aakash and Yogendra came to the joint and asked for parathas. The two have been regular customers of the same restaurant for three years, police said.
Kapil told the accused that the restaurant was closed and that they would not be able to provide them with food. The defendants had a heated argument after which they left.
At around 3:30 a.m., they returned to SR Foods with a gun and forced their way into the premises. The accused then allegedly shot Kapil and fled the scene. The victim died during treatment, police said.
An FIR was filed against the accused under IPC Sections 302 (Murder) and 34 (Common Intent) at Beta 2 Police Station.
