“Anyone left in Scotland?” Rangers fans take over huge bar to leave RB Leipzig stunned

Rangers fans who have followed the club every step of their Europa League journey will be used to traveling in crowds of thousands.

But this is news for some clubs on the continent since RB Leipzig were stunned by a video showing hundreds of Gers supporters invading a drunk in the city center.

Fans descended on Saxony with German national Bild estimating up to 7,000 people are making the trip.

The official away allocation ran out immediately with thousands more packing into a ‘neutral zone’ at the club’s Red Bull Arena on Thursday night and there are likely to be a few who continue without ticket for fun.

Rangers’ friendly visit to Leipzig in January 2017 remains a trip long remembered and this one promises to be even more special as the teams meet at such a late stage in UEFA competition.

After a Gers fan posted the video on Twitter, the English-language Leipzig account replied: “Is there anyone still in Scotland?”

Gers have to make the trip the hard way to the park as they remain without forwards Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst hopes Roofe will be fit for the second leg next week.
